With the holiday season in full swing, many halls in humble homes throughout Britannia have been decked with festive décor in celebration of this joyous time of year. From simple snowmen to extravagant winter wonderlands, players have created their holiday masterpieces out of everyday items you find in Ultima Online. In years past, we have enjoyed sharing some of the most creative decorations submitted by the UO community by posting them in the Spotlight section of UO.com. This year, we''d like to do it again.
Break out the bales of cotton, piles of wool, and the ever-important stack of bandages — it痴 time for the Britannian Holiday Artwork Showcase!
Send us a screenshot of your holiday creation and it may one of the lucky submissions displayed on the front page of the UO.com website! ^^The Guidelines
We致e kept the guidelines to a minimum to give you plenty of room for creativity: ^^- Holiday Theme — Your submission must have a holiday theme. As we are aware that not everyone celebrates the same holidays, all we ask is that your submitted art focus on a holiday celebrated at this time of year (as opposed to Halloween or Labor Day). Be it Boxing Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, the choice is up to you. ^
- You must be a current UO subscriber and include your account name with your submission. ^
- Artwork must be submitted in .bmp form at a minimum of 640 x 480 resolution, 24-bit color. You may send us .zip files, but please, no zip executable files. Any .exe files will be deleted. ^
- Artwork must be submitted as an original screenshot created with items found in Ultima Online. Doctored images will be disqualified.^
^^Submissions are due by 11:59 PM, December 19th (US CST). Please email your screenshot as an attached file to community@uo.com and include "Holiday Artwork Showcase" in your subject line. Also, include your real name, character name, and a description of your submission (including what you used to make it).
